Among the local artists featured at Ash Creek Pottery is Edna Scott - Pat's sister. "People wonder why I carry Edna's paintings and prints when she has her own studio just down the road. But her art is a perfect fit with the story my studio tells. We share the same deep connection with the North and love of fanciful, original themes. Whether it's one of her waterfowl pieces - or the tremendously successful carousel horses - I feel Edna's work is just naturally at home here, too."

Located directly on Lake Nipissing and set on lushly landscaped grounds, Edna Scott Art Studio captures the distinct flavour and appeal of this corner of Northern Ontario. Reachable by boat as well as by car, it's a destination that beckons to those who love fine art, nature - and a flair for the original.

Horses have long been a passion for Edna. She designed all 33 mounts featured on North Bay's famed Heritage Carousel. Fashioned after early 20 th century models, these brilliant steeds are now available in her limited edition prints complete with gold overlays and jewels - and come in a variety of sizes.

Edna also delights in portraying the wildlife that grace her grounds on the shores of Lake Nipissing. Watercolors of birds, flowers from her luxuriant gardens and small furry visitors are all painted with find detail and a delicate touch.

Ash Creek Pottery offers a representative sampling of Edna's work - or you can see the complete collection at her nearby studio.
